Small Groups
Small Groups are of major importance and an integral part of ABC- we believe being part of a small group during the weekdays is as important as corporate worship on a Sunday.
With many small groups meeting weekly or fortnightly there are a variety of age groups, backgrounds and characteristics to allow everyone to find a welcoming group to meet their needs and personality.
The purpose of small groups
We long to see spiritual transformation in people - each one becoming more like Jesus.
Through our small groups, we encourage each other to:
know Jesus through the Bible and become His disciples (up)
love, serve, and build each other up (in)
share God’s love with others in our daily lives (out)
connect with the rest of the ABC family & contribute to its life and mission (of)
House Groups
A house group is a group of people (often between 5-10) that meet weekly or fortnightly in someone’s home.
Typically, house groups meet together to study the Bible and explore ways to apply it to everyday life; to listen to and pray for one another, deepening friendships; and to enable each other to share God’s love with others.
Formation Groups
Formation groups consist of four people only, all male or all female, meeting at times convenient to the group. Formation groups provide more intentional discipleship and accountability for an agreed period of time, typically six months.
Our house groups
There are the house groups currently running within the church family. Click the buttons above if you’d like to join one of these house groups or join a formation group instead.
We also run small groups for young people (aged 13 to 18) and have plenty of opportunities for children and families to engage with teaching beyond our Sunday services.
